We will discuss details of the litter after someone has submitted a complete puppy application.
We only accept deposits once the litter is born and we know there will be a puppy available. Deposits are $500 nonrefundable.
Puppies are sold with comprehensive health clearances of both parents, current health records (age appropriate) including: microchip, AKC Registration, vaccination record, 3 generation pedigree, and sales contract.
New puppy homes are provided with a comprehensive list of preparation items before the puppy goes home along with strongly recommended reading to prepare for your new puppy.
A well trained and loved puppy is a happy and healthy puppy. Good owner = Great dog.
IT is a dog owner’s responsibility to learn how to interact with the dog in order to have an enjoyable life together.
Soundness and temperament come first with us. All of our puppies are microchipped and registered with AKC including the microchip. All of our dogs are certified through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals to be clear from signs of hip and elbow dysplasia. All of our dogs are DNA tested to be clear from inherited genetic diseases, Advanced Cardiac Certified disease clear, annual ACVO/Certification for eyes, in order to promote the health and welfare of all offspring. All litters are screened by a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist (ACVO) at 7-8 weeks of age.
We will not breed any dog without the above-described health clearances, true Labrador temperament-tails wagging, eager to please, trainable and the strong drive for retrieving.
All of our puppies are whelped and raised in our home and well socialized. We believe in the “Rule of 7.” Pat Hastings, AKC judge and author of The Puppy Puzzle, says that by the time pup is 7 weeks old, it should be exposed to 7 different situations, surfaces, objects, people, locations, challenges, and containers. This results in smarter, better-socialized, happier dogs. We also use and support the concepts of Puppy Culture and recommend this to our families.
HEALTH ASSURANCES:
All pups are wormed at 2, 4 and 6 weeks of age and started on K9 Probiotic the first week of life and continued every week. At 8 weeks of age, all pups are given their first inoculations, well-puppy health exam, heart exam for murmurs, heart worm, flea and tick medication. All health exam, vaccination and worming information will be provided in the puppy packets. ALL PUPPIES are micro-chipped and the chip is registered with AKC ReUnite program. The micro-chip information is provided in the puppy packets. Puppies will be placed once the litter is evaluated at 8 weeks of age. Please note we do not represent or sell “show prospects”. All puppies are sold on AKC LIMITED REGISTRATION.
No matter what your ultimate goal with your Labrador–show, field, obedience, family companion–we strongly recommend formal obedience for you and your pup (puppy socialization up to 5 months; formal classes beginning at 6 months). A trained Labrador is a happy Labrador!
